Kotoko rules, says Bekoe

By Thomas Boakye-Agyemang Oseikrom

27th February 2008

Eric Bekoe has described Kumasi Asante Kotoko as the most complete team at the moment in Ghana and has once again fired warning shots to opponents to give the Porcupine Warriors the needed respect or suffer for their disrespect.

Bekoe who scored his 10th goal in the ongoing league on Sunday against Tema Youth said it baffles him when he hear of Kotoko's opponents bluffing before matches as having antidotes to Kotoko's good run.

He said every Kotoko player is capable of causing damage to any team and revealed that self confidence and the belief that Kotoko is the best team in Ghana keeps the team moving.

He said these after making sure he padlocked the mouth of Tema Youth coach Isaac Adade Boateng, also known as Opeele, with a great goal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

"I told you before the match that Opeele has done very well doing the talking. I knew he had already played whatever he knew outside the pitch there was therefore nothing he could teach his players once they came face to face against us. Tema Youth is not a bad side but I saw a side that lacked courage and had their legs wobbling even before the start of the match. They tried to be courageous but were betrayed by the fear on their faces when they came face to face with us, their borrowed courage immediately deserted them” Bekoe said.

Asked what he told Opeele when he went to him after scoring Kotoko's second goal, Bekoe says he told him he is a good psychologist and coach, and that the fact that he raised his team to a certain level they were not, gives credence to that.

He expressed surprise at the way Opeele showed courage by attending a Press Conference organized by FOX FM in Kumasi and said though he had listened to him a lot, what Opeele said at the Press Conference pushed him (Bekoe) to punish him.

Bekoe failed to mention names but revealed that it is time to play the two most important matches in his life and will only hope and pray to God that he will give him good health to punish those clubs, apparently referring to Heart of Lions and Hearts of Oak.

"I won’t miss those matches God willing, and will not even exchange it for a World Cup finals” said Bekoe.

The management and the entire playing body have done well by beating the Tema lads. Keep the good work on and beat our rivals Accra Hearts of Oak come next week. I will plead with the management to print the names of the players at back of their jerseys.

What actually gladdened my heart was Eric Bekoe's ability to silence the loudmouthed coach of Tema Youth. I also applaud the team for their ability to hold their in the face of a red a card.

NANA AKRASI-SARPONG ACCRA

The technical team should always advised the entire playing body not to do anything to attract yellow and red cards. What Ghanaian referees like is to always reduce the strength of Kotoko by sending our players the red cards for no justifiable cause.
Well done team Kotoko maintain your focus and please do not remove your legs from the accelerator. Kudos to management, staff technical and the entire staff.

Team Kotoko thank you for making your supporters happy. But you must make sure that our joy would be complete after beating Accra Hearts of Oak. I support two teams in Ghana, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and team that beat Accra Hearts of Oak.

Untouchable Kumasi Asante Kotoko, I'm very glad to see the wonderful performance my darling team, the soccer university all these days. I support only two teams in Ghana, first the champion club Kumasi Asante Kotoko and last any team that beat the most useless and court rooms club poor hearts of shame. Well done fabulous boys and keep it up, go ahead to disgrace the so called hearts of oak, we believe in u and proud of you guys. Fabulous the greatest, fabulous the best!!!

Afriyie Eric Benjamin. Zenith Bank (h/o) Accra.

I'm extremely titillated about the current performance of the team in the eleventh week old one touch premiership. I hope management and the entire playing body as well as the technical men will not rest on their laurels but will continue to strive to achieve success for the club in both domestic and continental assignment in this season. I wish them good luck in the subsequent matches especially the match against our bitterness rival. I SAY MORE GREASE TO YOUR ELBOW.

Bekoe will be the first player in Ghana to be the world best. He will be the best striker so far produced in Ghana. I urge him to be calm and do the job and don't head to strong drinks and women and he will be the best striker to reckon with.
