Kwadwo Poku pleads for clemency

Correspondent: David Kyei, Oseikrom

20th February 2008

A day after being hit with the official documentation of his suspension for two months for engaging in fisticuff with Kwabena Dodzi, Kwadwo Poku ‘Mahala’ is virtually on his knees begging for clemency.

The player trained with the team in their preparation for Sunday’s match against Tema Youth on Wednesday.

Whilst sweating it off on the pitch,  he had something in his back pocket; an apology letter.

Though the contents of the letter which he had addressed to management was not made public, Kwadwo hinted that he had expressed remorse at his behavior and was pleading with management for forgiveness.

He says he has made similar apologies to his colleague, Kwabena Dodzi, and has extended same to the captain of the side as well.

“I have taken time to assess my behavior and see it as an unfortunate incident that I will like all to forgive me about”

“I promise that I will never repeat such action and hope that fans of Kotoko will find a place in their hearts to forgive me,” he pleaded.

Please, pardon the young man now that he has demonstrated remorse.

this is the greatest remorse any athlete must show when one shows such unwelcomed behaviour on the field of play. its a game played by different people from divers routs and patience and respect for orders should be a must for all.tanx
