Kotoko attract more interests

Posted: 15th April 2007

The splendid performance of the Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko,  in the 2007/8 seasons is bearing more fruits for the club, as more sponsors have lined up to dine with them.

The clubs Communications Director Kwame Baah-Nuako has disclosed that Bacchus Energy Drink has now been accredited as the official energy drink of the Porcupine Warriors while Soya Vital Milk is also on board as partner of Asante Kotoko.

He says various agreements have been reached with the companies involved and plans are far advanced to launch Kotoko’s association with those companies.

Kwame Baah Nuako also disclosed that the club has finalized an agreement with mobile content Ghana Limited to start a sms project on all mobile networks dubbed “Kotoko Sports” in which supporters can subscribe and receive breaking news, gossips, hot filla etc via their mobile phones.

Under this arrangement, fans will subscribe to the service by sending a text messages to the code number 1935, and they will receive a quick response updating them on Kotoko news, gossips; camp news etc.

Test runs are being conducted currently and the main service is scheduled to be launched at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City on Friday night.

According to the communications director, the time has come for Kotoko to convince all that the club should be regarded as a true professional side.

“It is in this regard that the club has also gone into agreement with JIT services to produce a magazine for the club, which will also be launched in April”.

The magazine, he says  will be another mouthpiece of Kotoko apart from the Communications Director, the Kotoko Express and the Kotoko website; asantekotokofc.org which is now very active.

I THINK A BIG FAMILY LIKE KOTOKO SHOULD NOT BE DISGRACED LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO US WHEN THE TEAM WANTED TO TRAIN IN A SCHOOL IN KUMASI. I SUSPECT THE HEAD TEACHER IS NOT KOTOKO FAN.

THE TIME IS UP FOR MANAGEMENT TO LOOK FOR SPONSORS TO BUILD THE KOTOKO STADIUM. LETS HIT THE IRON
WHILE IT IS HOT. I DARE MANAGEMENT TO TAKE THIS CHALLENGE INTO CONSIDERATION

what a wonderful work being done. More grease to your elbows and continue the good work. May God bless OTUMFUO and all KOTOKO faithfuls.

Acoholics, Kumasi

I am grateful to mgt for all that
they are doing but i suggest they use the same short code(1935)for the predict& win during our matches. Thank you

Kotoko our darling club is doing great. But my problem is about this site, if we say we are practicing professionalism then it goes around so many things including updating of this site on time. Our sister football clubs overseas do update their sites even whiles matches are on going. If that can’t be done I expect it to be at least within 24 hours after our any activity of the club. I hope if this is done none of the clubs here can complete with us when is comes to professionalism. Thank you.

I have read from our communications director that our website is very active but we the supporter who go to this site to read about our darling club are not getting the current news that are making the headlines in the Kotoko express.
I will be pleased if this comment is taking into consideration.

Good job, to be sincere this management team de force give our darling club. Kotoko is marketable. I hope to hear more news like this. Next thing is our stadium and club.

Asante Kotoko FC no doubt is a great club. It's unfortunate that the huge market in terms of its support base has not been exploited. It's sad that I don't even have an ID to boast of my Kotoko membership. I hope somebody is listening.
I think this is a good idea but sustenance oo sustenance!

GOOD WORK DONE MANAGEMENT. YOU HAVE BEEN TRIED AND TESTED FOR THE BOLD DECISIONS YOU ALWAYS TAKE. PLEASE TRY TO BUILD A KOTOKO CLUB HOUSE. YOUR NAMES WILL BE ALWAYS REMEMBERED BY THE FAMOUS SUPPORTERS OF OUR DEAR CLUB. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST. FABU THE GREATEST.

Mr Kotoko,

Fabu all the way, keep it up

All these developments are laudable and we salute management for that. But what supporters will appreciate most will be the commencement of the Kotoko Stadium. We are all aware of what Kotoko went through when the Kumasi Stadium was closed down for renovation prior to CAN 2008. We should not sit down for this to happen to us again. Kotoko has scored a first in almost all departments, but for this department, we lag behind.

Yusif

let us have our own stadium

Champion Faaaaaaabu!!!

I like the spirit from the current management. keep it up guys.
