Comprehensive program to celebrate league victory

Barring any last minute change in plans (which is remote at the time of filling this story), a massive program is being put together to celebrate Kotoko’s annexation of her 21st league title.

Announcing the plans at the meeting between management and the playing body last Monday, the chairman of the management board told the meeting that a coronation match would be played between Kotoko and King Faisal on the 20th of July 2008.

“At the match, the PLB will present the league trophy and gold medals to Kotoko and her registered players”.

In a related development, Kotoko’s title sponsors, tiGO, are said to be putting together a celebration package that will make supporters of the club start celebrating a day or two before the coronation match.

On the 19th of July, team Kotoko will undertake a photo shoot where the trophies won will be put on display and exclusive photos taken.

After the second leg final group stage qualification match against Al Ittihad at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, a date will be fixed for an awards dinner here deserving players will be honoured for their service to the club.
