Confed proving a tough call for the Porcupine warriors

22nd Sept 2008

Kumasi Asante Kotoko failed to go top of their Confederations Cup group after losing 2-0 away to JS Kabylie in Algeria on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko finished the game with a man less after substitute, Kwadwo Poku was sent off in the second half.

A first half penalty scored in the 7th minute by Bensaid Adlene put the host in front before Tayeb Berramla sealed the game six minutes from time.

The result leaves Kotoko bottom of the group even though all four sides are level on six points apiece.

Kotoko would have to win their next match, at home to Etoile du Sahel to improve their chances of reaching the Confederations Cup final.

I personally think Kwadwo Poku's habit is some time very bad and management has to do something about it so that the rest of the players will not copy him

also I think he must be punished for what he did in order not to repeat it.

Don't blame kojo opoku too much although he act naively, we must have patient and look ahead, all is not lost, please Mr.Bash prepare the players for the task ahead don't look back, and to the supporters the more you criticize the more we discourage our players.

infact i listen to him on several stations both in Accra and kumasi all on the net and he proved indiscipline.
or these he think he has all it takes in football? INFACT WHAT HE HAS IN FOOTBALL IS CHICKEN CHANGE.
INFACT HE NEED TO RESPECT AND ACT AS A RESPONSIBLE PERSONALITY A MARRIED PERSON.

Management should not punish kwadwo poku now until registration is over because he wants management to sack him so that he joins Herbert Mensah's Ashgold

NYARKO E, HO
KOTOKO WILL SURELY MASAKER ETOIL DU SAHEL AT BABA YARA AND CONTINUE TO DISINTEGRATE THE SUDANESS AT THEIR OWN BACKYARD BY HOOK OR CROOK
OPOKU, PLS AND PLS AGAIN.......... A
WORD TO A WISE IS ENOUGH.

it is quiet unfortunate that our team Kotoko in its bid to winning the confederation cup this year is still unable to put up a show in away matches. it is therefore saddening to hear comments like "the refree cheated us" when in actual fact we did not play any good football. if we want to qualify to the next stage then we have to step up our performance as a team and also our strikers should begin to show they are prolific not only on home grounds but also in away matches. another problem that is making us retrogress in our quest to conquer Africa is the issue of indiscipline on the part of our players. I'll like to sign off by saying determination and discipline are the keys to success in life.
