Stephen Manu, Louis Quainoo to suffer fines

00:43, 18-01-2010

For their failure to turn up for the trip that took a selected group of players to Asante Mampong for the maiden edition of the tiGO- Kotoko Soccer Clinic last Saturday, striker Stephen many and midfielder Louis Quainoo are in line to suffer pinching financial sanctions.

According to Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin, he has made his recommendation of sanction to management and was waiting for the letters to that effect to be served on them.

Though the quantum of the fines are yet to be known, feelers from the coach and the management member in charge of operations points at an amount not below GH˘50 respectively.

The two players, who also happen to be housemates had been called and confirmed by Mr. Ben Nti as members of the players’ contingent that went to Mampong for the Soccer clinic.

They had once again been called on the same mission a day to the trip, but on the day of the trip, the two never turned up.

All attempts to reach the two players did not yield any good responds, as their telephones were strangely unreachable.

disciplining these two players is in the right course because it will stop the others from treding the same line. therefore management must not hesitate from implementing the coahes' recommendation

INDEED THESE PLAYERS SHOULD BE PUNISHED AS PROPOSED BY THE COACH.. DISCIPLINE IS THE KEY IN EVERY ESTABLISHMENT ESPECIALLY THE TEAM WHEN OUR DEAR CLUB IS NOT IN GOOD SHAPE. .IT'S A GOOD DECISION TAKEN BY THE COACH AND WE MUST ALL WELCOME IT...LONG LIVE FAABU...LONG LIVE NANA OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II.

Discipline is the hallmark of success. management therefore needs to ensure that discipline forms an integral part of their daily lives. Any player found culpable should be brought to book.

I support the coach totally. Even the top World soccer stars, like Messi, Xavi, Puyol, Kaka, among others, all stick to the rules of their teams. They don't see themselves more important than the others. It's only in Ghana that players feel big in their shoes. They need to be disciplined.

I think the fine is rather very small, i dont think GHc 50 is punitive enough.
