Kotoko centre back, Henry Ohene Brenya, says he is eagerly awaiting clearance by the medical team to resume full scale training days after going to the gym to continue his recovery work.
The rugged defender last month sustained a knee injury during the Kotoko-Aduana Stars Glo Premier League match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Since then the medical team, headed by Dr. Kwaku Boateng has closely monitored his condition and recovery.
After his gym session on Wednesday morning, he told asantekotokofc.org in a brief interview that the progress of his recovery has been perfect and the degree of the pain in the right knee has subsided considerably following days of treatment and adequate rest.
As expected of every sportsman who sustains an injury even if for a short time, Ohene Brenya is itching for a quick return to action.
“The team is playing well. We are in good shape. We are winning; I want to be part of everything that is happening” said the 23-year-old defender who joined Kotoko at the beginning of the season from Berekum Arsenal.
“I wish to be given the clearance soon because I am praying for a quick return,” said Brenya.
